Erin is committed to empowering communities of color to challenge poverty, disenfranchisement, and the criminal injustice system.
Erin is the Civic Engagement Coordinator for Blueprint NC. Blueprint NC is a partnership of state-level public policy, advocacy, and grassroots groups dedicated to achieving a better, fairer, healthier North Carolina.
She also works with the Exchange Project, a program in the School of Public Health at UNC in Chapel Hill, Prison MATCH (Mothers and Their Children), Black Workers for Justice and the Fruit of Labor Singing Ensemble. She is the treasurer of the NC Black Leadership Caucus and is on the board of Southern Partners Fund, a foundation that supports the work of community organizers across the south.
Erin is the former Executive Director of Southerners for Economic Justice (SEJ) and NC Voters for Clean Elections Coalition, where she worked as the coordinator to pass the first judicial public financing legislation for judges in the United States.
Erin is a graduated from the College of William and Mary in Virginia and currently lives in Raleigh.
