Pastor Fitzpatrick

John C. Fitzpatrick Jr. currently resides in Durham, NC. He is the proud son of John and Joyce Fitzpatrick, who currently reside in Kennesaw, Georgia. John Fitzpatrick, Jr. has a lovely wife, Pauline Fitzpatrick and two beautiful children, John Fitzpatrick III (AKA Tre) and Cameron Alexandria Fitzpatrick. He has a beautiful sister named Amanda Fitzpatrick who is a thriving reporter in Charleston, S.C. Pastor Fitzpatrick graduated from the finest University in the country, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He attended both undergraduate and graduate school at this fine institution. Upon graduating from law school, Pastor Fitzpatrick began practicing law in Durham, where he currently has his own firm with a concentration in criminal defense. Pastor Fitzpatrick accepted Christ at a young age while being a member of Mt. Pisgah Original Freewill Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Reginald Hinton. Pastor Fitzpatrick was called by God into the ministry in February 2000. It was then that he gave his initial sermon at Orange Grove Missionary Baptist Church. In May 2002, Pastor Fitzpatrick began having bible study in his home and in May 2003, Pastor Fitzpatrick became an ordained minister. Soon thereafter, he became the founding Pastor of One Love Ministries, affectionately referred to as “One Love”. One Love Ministries is a non-denominational, church that welcomes anyone who will come. God said “you will know my disciples by the Love they have one for another”, and this Pastor, along with First Lady Pauline Fitzpatrick, has challenged One Love to live up to the expectations of Christ and to always walk in love. Pastor Fitzpatrick is a preacher and a teacher. He has the extraordinary gift of making the gospel of Jesus Christ so plain and simplistic that even a child will pay attention. Buckle your seats and prepare to be blessed, as the anointed man of God, who has been sent, equipped and prepared by God to deliver to you, a rich and rhema word. Pastor Fitzpatrick’s motto is that “he is not perfect, just forgiven”

Elder Fitzpatrick

Elder Pauline A. Fitzpatrick was born on February 17, 1969 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Howard William Poe and Mary Mavis Poe, who currently resides in Newfoundland, Canada. She is married to Pastor John Charles Fitzpatrick of One Love Ministries in Durham, NC. Together they have two beautiful children, John Charles Fitzpatrick, III (Tre’) age 8 and Cameron Alexandria Fitzpatrick, age 6. She is the proud daughter in-law of John and Joyce Fitzpatrick, who currently reside in Kennesaw, GA. She is a member of One Love Ministries, a family oriented, nondenominational church that believes in teaching the unadulterated word of God. The church’s motto is “One God…One Faith…and One Love”. One Love Ministries began with eight people in the Fitzpatrick’s home in 2003 and has grown to over one hundred and fifty members. She accepted her call into ministry in 2003 and became licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ on November 16, 2003 at One Love Ministries. She was ordained as an elder on Friday, April 3, 2009. As the Christian Education Ministry leader, she advocates for Christian education and believes the Lord will bless One Love with a Christian Academy. Her greatest accomplishment has been giving her life to the Lord. She is grateful for the gift of teaching and uses it to bring others to Christ and gain the power to understand God’s word. Elder Cheek

Elder Debra Cheek was born July 9, 1974 in Clinton, NC. She attended North Carolina Central University in Durham where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. It is there that she met her wonderful husband John F. Cheek, II whom she married on April 24, 1999. Together they are the parents of Jacquan, Tian, Maiya, Matthew, Madison, Morgan, and Malia Cheek. She accepted Christ as her personal savior in May of 1999. She accepted her personal call to preach the gospel in July of 2001. Elder Cheek preached her initial sermon at One Love on January 19, 2007. She was ordained as an Elder on April 3, 2009. She continues to serve on the praise team, intercessory prayer team, and as an assistant and teacher with Youth Explosion, our teen ministry. Debra has been a public school teacher for ten years and is currently employed as a math teacher at Carrington Middle School. Elder Cheek loves being a part of the One Love family and is “confident that He who began a good work in her will perfect it” (Philippians 1:6) as she continues to allow Him to transform her life.

Elder Cozart

Elder Rhonda Cozart is the wife of Johnnie Cozart and the mother of two beautiful children, Tyler and Shanice. They have been married for 8 years. Rhonda is a native of Durham, NC. She accepted Christ in 1990 at Mount Zion Christian Church under the leadership of Apostle Donald Q. Fozard, Sr. She accepted her call to preach in October 2005 at One Love Ministries. Rhonda has served One Love as a teacher in Children’s Church, One Love Children’s Ministry, and Youth Explosion. She has taught Sunday School and Bible Study as well. She is very active and has a passionate heart for Outreach Ministry. Rhonda was ordained as an Elder on April 3, 2009. Rhonda believes according to Romans 8:38 that nothing shall separate her from the love of God.

Deacon Thomas

Rose Thomas, formally Rose McLeod, is the proud daughter of Lubertha McLeod (who is deceased), and Clinton McRae, Sr. who resides in Brooklyn, NY. She is the wife of Marvin Thomas, and the mother of two beautiful children Chelsea and Isaiah Thomas, who are all a gift from God. Rose has three siblings Clinton McRae (Laurinburg, NC), Charlotte Swann (Charlotte, NC) and Dorian McRae (Brooklyn, NY). Rose was born in Wagram, NC where she was educated in the Scotland County School System. In later years, she went on to earn an Associate Degree at Durham Tech in Networking. She is presently working as an IT Analyst at Duke University. She is also the Co-owner of RMT Moonwalks and Entertainment which God birthed into her spirit in March 2003. Rose gave her life to Christ in October 1997 and she has been a servant of the Lord ever since. She will never forget the day she confessed to the Lord, “No matter what the cost Jesus, if you send me, I’ll go.” Rose feels that even though the road gets tough some times, she will continue to stand because she longs to hear the Lord say one day, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” Rose presently serves in numerous positions at One Love Ministries. She chairs the Usher Board (which is truly her passion) as well as Pastor’s Aide. She also chairs the Finance Committee and is presently operating as the Treasurer of the church, as well as administrator. She is also one of the Sunday School and Bible Study teachers for the teens. In August 2007, Rose answered a new calling in her spiritual life when she was ordained a Deacon. Acts 20:35 describes Rose’s passion to show love and compassion to others in addition to giving her time: “I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘it is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

Elder Harris

Elder Gladys Harris originally from NY resides in Durham with her husband (and best friend) of over 30 years Robert M. Harris, three of her six children, and two of her three grandchildren. After practicing, teaching and finally becoming a Vice President of Nursing Elder Harris decided to attend to law school she graduated from North Carolina Central University School of Law. She is a practicing attorney in her son’s law firm Harris & Associates. Elder Harris feels her secular accomplishments pale compared to her greatest accomplishment, which was becoming a “servant of God” many years ago. After being called into the ministry in 2004 she gave her initial sermon at One Love Ministries on January 21, 2005. On April 2, 2009 she received ordination and currently serves under Pastor John C. Fitzpatrick. Elder Harris loves to preach and teach the word of God. She believes we need to stop watering the gospel and “Let God’s Word Be True” She currently leads the Women’s Ministry, “God’s Chosen Ones” (9-12 year olds), and the Silver Saints at One Love Ministries. She also enjoys working with the Outreach Ministries. Elder Harris is always searching for a way to be used by God and will go where ever the Holy Spirit leads her including participating in relief efforts during Hurricane Katrina in Mississippi and New Orleans. In fact, one of her favorite verses is Isaiah 6:8 “Here I am Lord send me” and she will certainly go.

Deacon Wise

Deacon Wise was born on November 4th, 1972 in Roxboro. He is the son of Roosevelt Wise and Clara M. Wise. He is married to the beautiful Charlena Horton-Wise. They have two sons (Brandon Horton and Christopher Horton). He gave his life to Christ at the age of 11, and was a faithful member of the youth choir and youth day service. After going through the Persons County school system, he attended NC A&T State University. He received a Bachelor of Science in Electronic and Computer Technology in 1997. He was employed by IBM in 1997. He had several positions in the last 10 years. Currently, he does Security & Audit Compliance Analysis for Network Service. On August 9th, 2002 at Man Power in Charlotte, NC, Bro. Wise rededicated his life to Christ. It was like Fire shut up in my bones, and he has been in the Potter Hands ever since. He joined One Love Ministries in August 2003, and became an active member September 28th, 2003. Through his journey at One Love, he has been involved in the Praise Team, Audio/Video Ministry (Chair), Music Ministry (Chair), Usher Board, Trustees Board (Chair Dec 2005 – May 2007), Sunday School Teacher, and where ever the Lord chose to use him. He accepted his call as becoming a Deacon in 2006. Bro. Wise use this scripture as a foundation of his life (Matthew 22: 37-39 / Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.)

Minister Brown

Minister Patrice Brown is the wife of Melvin Brown and they are blessed with two children, Daniel and Madison. She is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a Masters of Science in Family Relations and Child Development. She is currently self-employed in the insurance/financial services industry. Minister Brown received Christ on March 15, 1993 and accepted her call to ministry on July 19, 1998 with an initial sermon, while attending Malloy Grove F.W.B Church in Parkton, NC. She was introduced to One Love Ministries with a sermon on June 1, 2007. Minister Brown is active at One Love Ministries as a member of the intercessory prayer team, teacher in the children’s ministry and photographer. As she serves at home, church and the community she is encouraged by the scripture in the Isaiah 61:1-2 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn.

Minister Brooks

Minister Jaison Brooks is the son of Frederick and Janet Hicks. He has two younger brothers, Jeffrey who is 16, and Jordan who is 13. He is married to the lovely Tiffany Brooks, his good thing. They have one wonderful son, Necorian Clark, and they have a beautiful child on the way. He is a graduate of North Carolina Central University, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and in Management. Minister Brooks is currently an educator at Southern Vance High School located in Henderson, NC, where he teaches several Business Courses including Computer Applications I and Computer Applications II. He is the Head Coach for the Boys Junior Varsity Basketball team, which has been Conference Champions for the past two seasons. This past season the team had a 15-2 overall record and a 12-1 Conference record, Raider Pride!!! He was an Assistant Coach for the Boys and Girls Track team for three years. Minister Brooks received True Salvation in late 2003 with the help of One Love Ministries. He accepted his call to the Ministry in 2004 and preached his initial sermon April 8, 2005. Minister Brooks’ personal motto is 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Minister Futrell

Kesha Dianne Futrell was born on April 6, 1974 to Ruth Edwards. Kesha grew up a “country girl,” in Northampton County, North Carolina. She attended Northampton County Public Schools, where she graduated as the valedictorian of her class. She received a full North Carolina Teaching Fellows Scholarship to attend college. She went on to North Carolina Central University where she graduated Magna cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Chemistry. She has taught Science for eleven years and is co-founder of The SEEK Center. Kesha married her high school sweetheart, Maurice Futrell on May 31, 1997. They have been blessed with four beautiful children: Rashaa’n Altarik, Gemar Naseem, Ayanna Monet, and Kya Simone. Kesha values and loves her roles as wife and mother. It is only fitting that God would get her attention while doing one of the things she loves best, singing praises to her Daddy. So, in August of 1993 while attending choir rehearsal at North Carolina A&T State University, she accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior. Kesha began true spiritual growth at One Love Ministries where she became a member on October 20, 2004, under the loving care of the members, First Lady Pauline Fitzpatrick, and Pastor John C. Fitzpatrick. As she grew, she found solace, instruction, love, laughter, and joy in reading His Word, so when God told her to minister to His people, she said yes. She accepted the call to ministry in July of 2008. More important than anything, Kesha loves God, and desires only to please Him. Her prayer is that she can truly be a vessel God can use for His Glory.

Minister Thompson

Kysha Thompson is a native of Hillsborough, NC and the proud wife of Marcus Thompson of nineteen years and the loving mother of one son, Marcus Thompson ll. Kysha dedicated her life to Christ as a young adult and accepted her call to the ministry in April 2004. Currently, she is a faithful member of One Love Ministry, Inc., in Durham, N.C. under the spiritual leadership of Rev. John C. Fitzpatrick Jr., and Elder Pauline Fitzpatrick where she continues to work diligently towards preparing herself to be a faithful steward in the service of the Lord. She is the leader of the praise team, “Anointed Children of God,” Kysha also assists in teaching God’s Chosen One’s, children ages 9-12. She is a dedicated servant and is always willing to assist any committee if she is needed. She is honored to be a part of the One Love Family.
